In a Montessori environment, children are placed in mixed-age groups, typically spanning three years. This setup allows students to learn at their own pace, with opportunities for peer tutoring and indirect learning. The structure fosters a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
In a Montessori classroom, children engage in various activities according to their interests and developmental stage. The classroom environment is designed to facilitate independent learning, allowing each child to choose activities that match their needs and pace. This approach helps children develop a sense of responsibility and ownership over their learning process, as they complete their work cycles independently, from selecting materials to returning them to their proper place.

Yes, children who complete their Montessori preschool experience are well-prepared to transition to any school setting. They are equipped with strong foundational skills and the ability to adapt to new environments. While they may miss the freedom and self-directed learning typical of Montessori classrooms, they are generally able to adjust to different educational approaches. The full benefits of Montessori education are most evident when a child completes the entire program, but early Montessori education provides a solid base for continued success.
